Kölfickor
I lördags så var det dags att bränna ur kölfickorna, mest för att få ur materialet som har börjat korigera, troligtvis så är det en stor del tenn i blandningen som ligger i fickorna, tennpest är det som har skett, tennet går helt enkelt över i pulverform som går att plocka bort med händerna, riktigt läskigt faktiskt…
Övrig tid den senaste veckan har gått till att limma spant, suprice! Samt att demontera och limma lite inredning som behöver fixas till, plus lite lackjobb på densamma…

Hey John!
Well, in short, the lead that is melted in to the pockets of the keel might not be pure lead and it has started some kind of chemical reaction, it might be what is called “plumbites” (HPbO2 or Pb(OH)3) in English, I am really not a chemist!
Well, I didn’t want to have the expanding material left there so we simply removed it, and will have a change to check on the keel bults as well, the look good by the way!
