I just have to show this picture of Brita that now is in Sweden at kungsör, Tom Thornton that owned Ondine did a great job with the structure and probably saved here from being destroyed:

Yes, she was in extremely poor shape when I found her. She had sat uncovered in a boatyard that went bankrupt for at least five years. Work I did:
26 new frames replaced in the hull by steam bending and riveting with copper rivets as per original construction
Half the deck re-framed, mast partners replaced and re-reinforced.
cock-pit framing re-placed
all interior fittings stripped, sanded and varnished to completion.
Cabin trunk stripped and cleaned up ready for installation and finish work
new stern post made and fitted, but not installed
new keel made, fitted but not installed
interior of hull had 5 coats of Sikkens applied and needs two more to complete
lower bilge has been painted
Hull sides stripped in preparation for new varnish
That’s a lot of work!

Hej Robin,
Britta är inte S-214. Hon är ritad av Erik Nilsson och byggd på Kungsör 1938. Hon var SSS lottbåt samma år och seglade med S-228 i seglet. Båten exporterades samma år till USA. Följande år valde SSS att bygga ytterligare en Nilssonbåt på samma ritningar. Detta blev nuvarande S-228 Regina, ex Rush II.

Renoverat fel båt, de två första 22:or jag kikade på nr jag fastnat för båttypen hade vunnit X-pokalen fyra gånger var.
Så det måtte ha varit ett sälj argument på 70 talet (så vitt jag vet har ingen av de de vunnit pokelan 22-45 och 22-259).
Det var ju lätt att kolla och naturligtvis framförde man det till respektive ägare !
Så det är väl inte så konstigt om det renoveras båtar med lite grötigt ursprung (är man säker på att det är en 22:a ?).

Well, If I am right informed Brita went over to the US the same year that she was built, 1938 so the Swedish information might have been lost allready in the 60´s, Tom thought that she was S -214 , but 214 was destroyed while shipping to the States…
A replica was built in 1939 that got the same number 228, she is currently sailning in Norway…

On Brita, I bought her at a sheriff’s auction after she sat in a boatyard for several years (the bidder I was bidding against was a scrap yard who wanted to melt down her keel). She was sold with no documentation. Having said that, this is what I know: she was designed by a gentleman called Erik Nilsson and built at Kungsors yacht yard in 1938. Her original Swedish sail number was S 228 (her US sail number is US10). I know this based on my correspondence with Peter Bjorkdal, the historian of the Swedish 22sqm Association.
