I sailed on “Vinst 2″ with Ed Sheeham most of 60’s. We are still looking
for her , She was last know to be sailing in southern parts of Lake Michigan in 2002. She was total restore in 1993 and I saw her sailing at the start of the 1994 Mac Race. The only Udell with Two Cockpits and no windscreen.
Fond memories of the Udells, Great photo Robin!!!!!

No windscreen!

I didn’t notice that!

The other udells will have to large cockpit area if you remove the windscreen, that is not the case with Vinst 2!

The fleet forced eddie to install a windscreen in plexiglas to conform to rules.
The square footage of each cockpit, Dual, and large single, have to be equal to race in class.
Eddie Sheehan chartered Britta while building Vinst2. Britta with her two cockpit layout was to be a must on Vinst2.
